Can you feel it? Feel what?
Oh, I don’t know… the energy shifting as we inch closer-and-closer to Eclipse Season. And not just any ol’ Eclipse Season—one that truly occurs at the threshold. One that exists between realms; endings and beginnings. The Lunar Eclipse (on September 17) will kick off a brand new series that continues all the way until 2027, and the Solar Eclipse (on October 2) is the penultimate end of an era that began in 2023.
Can you feel that?
More on that in a moment, but first—in case you haven’t heard the news—I have a brand new weekly podcast, Horoscope Weekly with Aliza Kelly!
Every Monday, I explore the cosmic weather and deliver customized horoscopes for each sign of the zodiac, Aries through Pisces, with forecasts on love, career, health, and personal growth. It’s bright, informative, thoughtful, and—of course—very juicy. So tune in right now (it’s Monday, after all!), and please leave 5-stars & a review! Your support really goes a long way!!!

Now, as we prepare for the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on September 17, we must officially hang up our manifesting hats. That’s right, folks—we are temporarily pausing our manifestation practices until Eclipse Season is over next month (through October 9, to be exact).
Why would we do such a thing? There’s actually a number of reasons why I recommend pausing ritualized manifestation practices during Eclipse Season:
Eclipse energy is volatile, chaotic, and unpredictable—manifesting during this time might be messy at best, disastrous at worst.
The Nodes of Destiny are activated during Eclipses, which means the Universe is helping you align with your truth… and, often times, the Universe knows what you need better than you do!
It’s good spiritual hygiene to take a scheduled break from manifesting! In our culture of late-stage capitalism where we often conflate consumerism with magic, it’s important to connect with the soft tones of surrender, along with the buoyant vibrations of gratitude.
Perspective! How will you know your desires are still relevant if you don’t take a moment to catch your breath, recalibrate, and think about what you really want and need? Rather than work on autopilot, we should use this time to refine our intentions after taking inventory of our current conditions.
In my personal (and professional) experience, taking a break from manifesting is incredibly rewarding and delightfully surprising. You never know what will happen when the Universe takes the wheel!
And, in these final days before Eclipse Season begins, the cosmos are helping us prepare with some very demure, considerate, and mindful transits. We begin with Mercury entering its home sign of Virgo on Monday, September 9, ushering in a period of heightened clarity and mental sharpness. After the retrograde chaos of recent weeks, this transit will feel incredibly refreshing. Mercury in Virgo thrives on organization and detail, making it the perfect time to focus on practical matters. This is an ideal moment to lean into methodical thinking—our to-do lists soar when Mercury glides through this earth sign. Of course, the key is to balance precision with compassion; be critical and discerning, but don’t lose sight of the bigger picture.
Midweek, on Wednesday, September 11, Mercury forms a sextile with Mars in Cancer at 4º, bringing a subtle yet potent energy to our cognition. Mars in Cancer stirs deep emotional currents, while Mercury in Virgo helps us sort through complex feelings with clarity and discernment. This is a time for thoughtful reflection, allowing sensitivites to surface so they can be understood and integrated. What an exquisite transit for deep, soulful processing—letting your mind and heart align in quiet, introspective ways. What a perfect vibration for Eclipsemas Eve.
As the week continues, pay attention to any planets you have at 20º in your chart—that’s the hotspot for the second half of the week! On Thursday, September 12, the Sun in Virgo at 20º squares Jupiter in Gemini at 20º, creating tension between the desire for control and the need for growth. With both Virgo and Gemini governed by swift-moving Mercury, this is no doubt a Mercurial showdown! Virgo’s perfectionism meets Gemini’s boundless curiosity, and the result is a push-pull dynamic that can feel overwhelming. You may find yourself torn between wanting to meticulously manage every detail and feeling the urge to expand your horizons.
Don’t forget: both Virgo’s inhale and Gemini’s exhale are equally important. Jupiter in Gemini encourages us to think bigger, embrace curiosity, and expand our horizons, while the Sun in Virgo provides the grounded focus needed to understand our dreams on a technical level. This square isn't about resistance, but about integration—Virgo’s attention to detail supports Gemini’s expansive thinking, reminding us that growth requires both vision and structure. If we honor this transit, perhaps it will invite us to dream boldly while also remaining firmly rooted in reality. We love to see it!
Finally, the week concludes with a stunning, gorgeous, auspicious connection: Venus in Libra at 20º forming a trine to Jupiter in Gemini at 20º on Sunday, September 15. Venus, considered the "lesser benefic” in traditional astrology (aka Venus is lucky… but not as lucky as Jupiter) is in its domicile in Libra, radiating charm, elegance, and grace. Here, Venus thrives, amplifying the energy of beauty, connection, and aesthetic appreciation. Meanwhile, Jupiter, the "greater benefic" in traditional astrology (aka you cannot get luckier!) is in Gemini, a fellow air sign (albeit in its fall), which evokes intellectual expansion, exploration, and social engagement.
With these planets forming a vibrant and rich trine, it highlights principles of communication, social connection, and the exchange of ideas. Venus in Libra seeks harmonious relationships and elegant refinement, while Jupiter in Gemini pushes us toward broadening our minds and connecting with others through shared language. This is a moment where intellectual and creative expansion flow naturally, inviting us to explore new ideas and relationships with an open heart. Together, Venus and Jupiter cultivate an atmosphere of joy, pleasure, and inspiration, reminding us that growth is just as much about the people we connect with and the beauty we appreciate as it is about the knowledge we seek.
So, my friends, there you have it. As we stand on the threshold of Eclipse Season, the cosmos are inviting us to pause, reflect, and hand over our trust to the Universe. We’re getting organized! We’re recalibrating! We’re synthesizing complex experiences ~without~ the pressure of constant manifestation. It’s time to trust in the unknown, to make space for new insights, and to embrace the natural flow of life. By letting go of the need to control every outcome, we open ourselves to the unexpected gifts that the Universe has in store. And that, my friends, means we’re officially ready. Slay.
Is this a north or south node eclipse?
