Just a few days ago, I dubbed this a very lucky week. With Jupiter lit up in the sky, I advised we all identify 15° Taurus in our birth charts, as that’s where Jupiter’s blessings will land.

As an astrologer, I often find myself more focused on how others will be impacted by transits than how they’ll manifest for me personally. After all, I know my chart like the back of my hand. Jupiter’s been in my 4th House for the past several weeks, making an interesting opposition to my natal Pluto (12º Scorpio) in my 10th House, illuminating themes relating to family and career, respectively. But, like, duh. I’m pregnant. That makes sense.

Suffice it to say, I wasn’t thinking much about the aspects formed by Mercury and Sun, and how these transiting celestial bodies—both in Virgo—are currently activating my 8th House stellium. The 8th House is, of course, the area of your chart associated with deep spiritual and psychological transformation. Awakenings. Transcendence. Death and rebirth.

Foreshadowing? You bet.

On Monday, just a few hours after I posted my weekly forecast about the auspicious week ahead, I tripped and fell. Off of a steep stone step. While I was completely alone. And, as I watched my feet give out from under me, I certainly didn’t feel very lucky. But I was.
