Astrology Forecast: 6.26.23 through 7.2.23
In the week ahead, we'll experience two distinct energies that will greatly influence our work week. Monday greets us with a Moon in Libra and Mercury's transition into Cancer, intensifying the cardinal vibrations. Cardinal energy encourages us to dream, initiate, and embark on new endeavors. Likewise, this is an excellent time for catalyzing new projects. If there’s something that you’ve been eager to get off the ground—whether it be a professional pursuit or a shift in relationship dynamics—the beginning of the week (specifically Monday and Tuesday) are opportune times to take action. However, it's important to note that unchecked cardinal energy can sometimes veer towards opportunism and self-interest. But maybe that’s okay? After all, how can we bring about meaningful change unless we maintain laser-like focus with our eyes on the prize?
Simultaneously, another powerful energetic narrative demands our attention: the rise of fixed energy. On Monday, Mars in Leo clashes with Uranus in Taurus, followed by the Moon's shift into Scorpio on Wednesday. Then, on Sunday, Venus in Leo confronts Uranus at the same point where Mars encountered the planet of innovation just six days prior. These fixed squares are notable planetary aspects, indicating potential tension with our existing circumstances. Fixed energy represents our established systems, ways of operating, and deeply ingrained ideologies. It speaks to the concepts we believe cannot be altered. But because nothing is permanent, we must be willing to adapt, and these squares underscore those poignant growing pains. Change is never easy, but we can't alchemize without it.
My personal favorite day of the upcoming week is Saturday, July 1. Not only does it mark the beginning of a new month (sort of like a portal; we love to see it!), but it also aligns the cardinal and fixed energies to create exceptionally auspicious transits. Moments after the Sun-Mercury cazimi (solar conjunction) at 9º Cancer, these two celestial bodies form a stunning sextile with Jupiter at 9º Taurus. Sextiles are positive aspects that occur between signs of the same polarity (sextiles are formed between planets in Earth-Water and Fire-Air, respectively), fostering friendly, social, communicative, and supportive interactions. Consequently, after navigating through radically different plot points throughout the week, these storylines converge under the auspices of abundant Jupiter. If you're willing to roll up your sleeves and put in the work, you're sure to savor the rewards that Saturday has in store.
Card of the Week
Elixirs (from There Are No Coincidences)
For many years, I tended to my vices. I treated them with respect, even reverence, identifying those qualities as honest expressions of my soul. Being “bad” didn’t just feel good—it defined my character. But as time went on, variables like health… and age.. and stability... and consequences began occupying my psyche. Gradually, I traded my reckless and rebellious habits for more responsible choices. Of course, the benefits of prioritizing physical, spiritual, and emotional wellness are profound—I’m beyond grateful for the quality of life I have today. But as I pull the Elixirs card, my psyche returns to old sensations, and I have to wonder: what are those shadowy impulses doing now?
What are your Elixirs of choice? Reflecting on this card is TANC—not just because I pulled from my There Are No Coincidences deck—but because Neptune (the planet of illusion and delusion) goes retrograde in Pisces this week (on Friday, June 30). This cosmic reversal is happening deep within our solar system, which means the shift will be more philosophical than practical. Likewise, it’s unlikely anything in your life will change as a byproduct of Neptune retrograde… but don’t be surprised if you find yourself staring into the past, recalling old coping mechanisms or habits you’ve since outgrown.
The truth is that those unruly behaviors—imprints of how I used to be—are best suited for memory. These days, my Elixir is nostalgia: a certain song or a distant aroma or even an unexpected breeze can transport me to another time. And, for a moment, I’m lit up with that same evocative excitement. That thrill. That rush. That bad girl edge.
Curious Recommendations
Since this is the first ever edition of The Curiosity Report (ahhh!) and I’ve just kicked off a brand new writing routine, it feels appropriate to recommend my absolute favorite journal company: Attic Journals!
Attic Journals is a small-business based in Portland, Oregon that upcycles discarded library books, transforming them into the perfect bound notebook. Constellation Club members already receive a special discount code (you can find it in our Mighty Networks portal), but everyone should check them out. Each journal is totally unique and completely incredible! I would be lost without these essential literary companions.
So, I’m pregnant. And I’m going to tell you how I got here, as well as the important and exciting details… like the due date (!), whether it’s a boy or girl (!!!), and all the challenges (and extraordinary mystical happenings) that took place along the way.
First, you should know that announcing my pregnancy is strange and surreal. It feels like faking, like roleplaying. Like I’m a little kid with a pillow stuffed inside my shirt. After decades of believing I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, a little existential crisis is sparked each time I share the news, followed by anxiety masked as superstition.
Is it too early? Should I have not said anything? Am I jinxing myself?
