Tarot is one of my absolute favorite forms of divination. In fact, I consult the cards as much as I do the stars. Tarot fills in the gaps, connects the dots, and offers insight that illuminates even the most complex situations.
I established my relationship with tarot many years ago, when I was still working at an art gallery in Los Angeles. There was a lot of downtime, and my colleague—a wonderful witchy Aquarius—suggested we bring tarot decks so we could read for each other between appointments. One lunch break, I drove to a mystical shop and bought my first tarot deck… the same deck I use to this day.
It’s been over a decade since I got serious about tarot; now it feels like a second language. But I do remember that—in the beginning—memorizing the meaning of 78 unique cards was definitely daunting. And then, beyond that, there was the whole interpretation bit. How do you put the pieces together?
