Sunday, May 4 11:27AM ET: Pluto Retrograde (3° Aquarius)
Even in the steady, rooted energy of Taurus season, a spark cuts through the calm. Venus charges into Aries, intensifying urgency, passion, and boldness—offering us an opportunity to do things differently (better?). This week is a reminder that even as we’re building slowly and deliberately, some parts of life still require quick decisions and brave beginnings. Meanwhile, Pluto stations retrograde, signaling major tremors beneath the surface. Action and patience coexist—there’s room for both movement and stillness, for momentum and reflection. And here’s what you need to know.
I’m hosting a Coven Meeting in the Constellation Club TONIGHT at 8PM ET for the New Moon in Taurus!
We’ll be exploring this powerful New Moon energy, including community shares and rituals designed to help you connect with this vibrant lunation! Plus, a seed planting & renewal ceremony you will NOT want to miss! Register here!

Wednesday, April 30: Venus enters Aries
Venus bursts into Aries on Wednesday, trading dreamy sensitivity for bold, impulsive drive. And if this feels familiar, there’s a reason why. We’ve actually already encountered Venus in Aries: from February 4 through March 27, Venus moved both forwards and backwards in this passionate fire sign.
Think back to what was going on in your life at that time—specifically related to Venusian concepts (money, relationships, values, self-worth, etc.). What was affirming and inspiring? What was lackluster and disappointing? This is your chance to reexamine—or potentially even redo—those important, meaningful expressions first encountered a few months ago.
But keep in mind: this isn’t about retracing old steps just for the sake of nostalgia—it’s about choosing differently now that you know more. Venus in Aries wants you to lead with desire, advocate for what you love, and take agency for your personal narrative. Apply what you learned earlier this year and move forward with sharper instincts, clearer boundaries, and unapologetic determination.
Friday, May 2: Venus conjunct Neptune (1° Aries)
Just two days later, Venus joins Neptune at 1° Aries, fusing action with fantasy in a way we’ve never quite experienced before. Typically, a Venus-Neptune conjunction blurs the edges, bathing everything in a surreal, intoxicating aura. But this time, the terrain is different—and way more unpredictable. For the first time in our lifetime, this meeting is not happening with Venus in its exaltation (in Pisces) or Neptune in its domicile (in Pisces). Venus is now in Aries—the sign of its detriment—and Neptune has officially moved into uncharted Aries territory… for the first time since the mid-1800s. The familiar ocean of dreams has been replaced with fire: impulsive, urgent, raw.
Sorry to say, kids, but this is yet another unprecedented one: We don’t know what it looks like when Venus meets its higher octave (Neptune) in this energetic and quick-burning sign. Beautiful visions and wild inspirations may arrive in flashes, but discernment will be crucial. Say “yes,” but stay diligent—reality may end up being stranger than fiction.
Sunday, May 4: Pluto Retrograde begins (3° Aquarius)
Finally, on Sunday, Pluto stations retrograde at 3° Aquarius, beginning its slow-motion excavation of the internal and collective shadows, which will continue through October 13.
I know the word “retrograde” may send shivers down your spine (especially after the back-to-back retrogrades we’ve encountered this year), but Pluto—the profoundly distant planet of power, transformation, and control—spends about half its orbit backwards. Likewise, Pluto retrograde (and all, outer-planet retrogrades) aren’t about chaos and calamity, but rather deeper examination.
In Aquarius, this retrograde demands a critical reevaluation of the structures we participate in: our friendships, communities, online spaces, and larger social systems. What needs to break down before it can be rebuilt? Where have you surrendered power you need to reclaim? Over the next several months, the questions Pluto in Aquarius raises will challenge us to rethink what how we show up in collective spaces—and whether those spaces truly align with our ideals.
